How does Knomee work

How does Knomee work

Welcome to Knomee whanau, friends and New Zealand,

We appreciate your support and use of the Knomee online marketplace and wish to provide you with a trustworthy, user-friendly, quick, enjoyable, unique, affordable and cool platform for buying and selling pretty much anything. To help support our vision to achieve and maintain a trustworthy site we have designed and developed a range of features. This page explains how these features work and how you can make the most of your online trading experience with Knomee.

Knomee Mission

To provide New Zealand with a trustworthy, efficient, user-friendly, enjoyable, unique, cost-effective and cool online marketplace that helps Knomee members confidently buy and sell odd jobs, product and service coupons for the purpose of supplementing discretionary income and time.

Core Features

My Profile

Your profile can be as detailed or as blank as you wish. It can be used as an online resume that shows your employment history, qualifications and skill base or can be used as a profile for your business. Viewing a profile should give you a snapshot of the Knomee member’s credibility. You also have the option of listing a phone number and email address on your profile.

Personalised URL

Upon successful registration every Knomee member receives their own personal URL e.g. www.knomee.co.nz/p/username This URL can be used on business cards, in email signatures and on other promotional material to promote your profile and/or business.

Odd Jobs

Knomee members can post any odd job on the Knomee website for other Knomee members to ‘Make an Offer’ on. The job may be a small job or a large job. It may take an hour or it may take a day or longer. Instead of spending lots of unproductive time in search of a trustworthy reliable service provider, Knomee members can now post a job and watch while other Knomee members make offers on it. Once you see an offer you like then simply accept the offer. Contact details are then shared by Knomee email notifications to the buyer and seller. Sales transactions are organised between the seller and buyer outside of the Knomee framework. Once the transaction is complete, Knomee members can then rate and endorse each other using the Knomee rating system.

Contact details are then shared by Knomee email notifications to the buyer and seller. Sales transactions are organised between the seller and buyer outside of the Knomee framework. Make an Offer

Make an Offer

One of the unique features about Knomee is the ability to “Make an Offer” on items for sale. On Knomee you can list anything to sell. With your listing you also have the option to include or exclude a Buy Now option for your product or service. “Make an Offer” is unique to Knomee and is based on the cliché ‘one man’s junk is another mans treasure’. Any Knomee member can make an offer on product or services listed. Your offers can be viewed in your Knomee admin area and you have the option to accept or decline any offer made. Once you accept an offer all of your other offers are automatically declined. You can also manually decline offers before accepting an offer. Declining an offer will prompt you to send an optional message. For example you may send a message requesting an increase in the initial offer made e.g. please offer me another $10 and you have a deal. Accepting an offer automatically sends both parties an email confirmation and contact details for correspondence. The transaction is then made between both parties.
